Celebrating a Year of Growth and Collaboration: A Message from Our CEO

Dear Valued Customers,

As we reflect on the closing year, I’m pleased to highlight the milestones and achievements that have defined our shared journey. It has been a transformative year, emphasising innovation and, most importantly, our commitment to you and your needs. We are grateful to have played our part in ensuring your safe and compliant operations and in helping you to achieve sustainable business success.

Strengthening Foundations for Enhanced Support and Innovation:

Like all of you, the heart of our success lies in our people. This year we have strengthened and consolidated our team to better understand and address your specific needs.

This unification of teams has enabled us to leverage our global reach, setting up a single global ticketing system, and upscaling our service levels. This means we can now provide you with a 24/7 support desk, an essential element in our commitment to your success as we become an increasingly business-critical partner.

Additionally, we’ve fortified our compliance and commitment to quality with globally recognized standards like ISO 14001, ISO 31000, and ISO 27001.

Our dedication to listening, learning, and evolving remains at the core of our initiatives.

Thomas Zanzinger
Chief Executive Officer
Ocean Technologies Group

This year we launched our Customer Advisory Boards (CABs) that provide a vital conduit for a deeper understanding of your needs and aspirations, helping us shape our product and services strategies and driving mutual success and satisfaction.

Empowering Effective and Efficient Learning Anytime, Anywhere:

Our industry is “always-on” and we are steadfast in our commitment to keeping your teams provided with the latest information and best practice guidance.

We have grown and improved our extensive Ocean Learning Library through a combination of new and updated OTG content and titles from partners. We also refurbished over 120 of our existing library titles into our new micro-learning format comprised of bite-sized units for optimal flexibility and compatibility with adaptive learning models.

We also took a big stride forward on mobile learning enhancing the OLP mobile app with the ability to download content for offline use, empowering users to learn anytime, anywhere.

Enjoying Growth and New Markets

Our growth has been marked by the expansion into new areas and an increasing number of customers embracing additional services.

New configuration possibilities for our COMPAS Crew Management software enabled us to offer a entry level ‘core’ COMPAS option. This ensures a simplified implementation that brings faster value and makes our industry leading platform cost effective for smaller fleets.

We’ve also continued to make countless smaller enhancements and upgrades to functionality across our suite of applications. None more so than with our TM Master Fleet Management application, where connecting inter-related data and functions accessible across modules can deliver incremental value.

The business processes are just as important as the software itself and in Fleet in particular our team has excelled. Managing to deliver an unprecedented implementation change management project in which over 100 of a client’s vessels were converted to TM Master in record time. This incredible achievement enabled the rapid standardisation of our customer’s quickly growing Fleet ahead of schedule, allowing them to realise outstanding ROI.

Setting up For Future Success

We know our future lies in a convergence of all our applications into a single modular and configurable platform. That’s what our customers want to see and this year we have laid the groundwork to achieve it. We’ve rebuilt much of our underlying software architecture and our UX team have worked closely with customers in the creation of a design system that will allow us to harmonise all our applications for a seamless user experience.

Combining all of our capabilities into a unified single system that maximises your people investment is a key objective in 2024. Our Industry is facing many challenges, but also huge opportunities for positive transformation We strongly believe the future belongs to those that develop their Human Capital Management strategy and know that many of you share our vision.

An Engaged and Collaborative Community:

We’ve had great pleasure in welcoming you, our community, to many events in which some of you have taken to the stage to represent your companies, showcase your success, and share best practices with peers.

Additionally, this year, we launched a series of customer focussed webinars featuring expert insights and practical strategies for getting the most out of our products and services.

We also continue to engage in industry groups and forums. I’m particularly proud that we are supporting efforts to decarbonise our industry as digital partner to ICS in their Shaping the Future of Shipping events and in initiatives such as -The Just Transition Task Force and The Nautical Institute Green Curriculum, to ensure our seafarers can work safely with alternative fuels of the future.

As we close this year, I extend my deepest gratitude for your continued partnership and I thank you for your business. Your trust and collaboration have been the cornerstone of every success we’ve achieved.

Most importantly we pay tribute to your maritime professionals at sea and ashore whose tireless dedication is an inspiration to us all.

Wishing you and your loved ones a joyous holiday season filled with happiness and prosperity.

Thank you for being an integral part of our journey.
Warm regards,
Thomas Zanzinger
