Ocean Technologies Wins Safety4Sea Training Award

Ocean Technologies Group (OTG) has won the 2021Safety4Sea training award for the development of its Ocean Learning Platform (OLP) which has been designed to create an e-learning ecosystem that delivers blended learning, assessment, and competency management solutions for seafarers and shore-based staff.

A shortlist of organisations for this award was chosen by a panel of maritime industry experts which was then opened up to a public vote based on which company’s product or service had provided “a  significant achievement or breakthrough or significant contribution in any aspect of maritime training.”

Winning the award has given Ocean Technologies Group  a strong endorsement from across the maritime industry  that they are providing the right e-Learning environment for personnel to improve their knowledge and skills, whenever or wherever they are in the world.

The OLP has been designed as an open system that allows users to build more diverse curriculums including company own and manufacturer specific materials to be available for serving and aspiring seafarers to access.

Accepting the award at a virtual ceremony on the 19^th October Manish Singh, CEO, Ocean Technologies Group said, “We are deeply honoured to gain this industry recognition as we have a very long history of serving the maritime sector through our learning brands and we are very proud of the part we continue to play in keeping our seafarers safe and able to perform to the best of their abilities.”

“By creating the Ocean Learning Platform, we wanted to revolutionise the learner experience by putting the seafarer first and investing in UX design to make the platform more intuitive and removing any barriers to learning.

“Our Oceaneers worked tirelessly and with great enthusiasm on this mission and so I accept this award on behalf of all of them, as well as our customers and industry partners without whom it would not have been possible,” he concluded.
